What is ST701?

First launched on March 24, 2006 as a job portal, ST701 carries the initials of The Straits Times, Singapore Press Holdings' flagship newspaper and Singapore’s national English broadsheet. The numbers “701” convey what the user will experience: 7 days a week search at the 01 place that matters. We have expanded our scope to include motoring, property and general classifieds. Now, ST701 comprises four verticals, namely: ST701 Jobs; ST701 Cars; ST701 Property; and ST701 Shops. Collectively, the four verticals span the full range of classified advertisements, and ST701 is now CATS Classified’s e-marketplace on the Internet.
 
 

How do I advertise on ST701?

For Individuals
At the homepage as well as the main page of every vertical, click on the tab on the left named “Place Ads” and we will guide you through the steps of placing your ad. If you are still lost, please click here.
 

For Corporate Clients
Click on “Contact Us” and choose your relevant sales enquiries to Jobs, Cars, Property or Shops. The respective person-in-charge will contact you as soon as we get your enquiry.
 
 
 

What are ST701's guidelines on ad posting and other user-generated content?

To create an enjoyable online experience for everyone, we would like to request for all our users to adhere to our guidelines on ad posting and other user-generated content. Among other things, user-generated content, including advertisements, should not contain elements that are illegal, misleading, fraudulent, libelous, defamatory, pornographic, indecent, legally or culturally inappropriate. In addition, we encourage users to post their ads in the appropriate vertical and categories (e.g. a car ad in Shops vertical would be a big no-go), and while at it, one nicely written ad per product or service souped up with fabulous pictures ought to do the trick -- do refrain from spamming by posting multiple ads for the same item.
 

While we would certainly try our very best to please all our customers, sometimes we might need to suspend some ads or remove some user-generated content, not only to maintain ST701's image, but also to make the site enjoyable and friendly for people of various inclinations, dispositions and walks of life. We hope for your understanding here.

What are the charges to post listings on ST701?

For Cars, the ad features are the same as for Property and Shops. However, the basic package comes with a charge of $8.
